Artificial intelligence (AI) is the engine of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. It holds the promise of solving some of society’s most pressing issues, including repowering economies reeling from lockdowns, but requires thoughtful design, development and deployment to mitigate potential risks. The Global Future Council on Artificial Intelligence for Humanity is a diverse group comprising experts from business, civil society, academia and government. Together, the 2020-2022 cohort of the council will develop policy and governance solutions to major issues at the intersection of AI and society.
