Sociedad de Fomento Fabril (SOFOFA)
Sociedad de Fomento Fabril (SOFOFA) – the Federation of Chilean Industry – is a non-profit federation of some 3,000 companies, 22 business associations and 7 regional subsidiaries connecting companies and associations linked with Chilean industry. Representatives come from industrial associations in Arica, Antofagasta, Valparaiso and Aconcagua, Curico, Talca, Concepcion, Malleco and Cautin. These members make up 85% of all industrial activity in Chile. Its objectives are to promote the creation, progress and development of private industry and to defend private enterprise and property, free market pricing and contracting, and the penetration of overseas markets.
