Formerly with General Electric Group, ABB Group and Alstom Power as Head of Gas Turbine Sales Worldwide. 2000, joined Enel Group; served as Chief Executive Officer and General Manager, Enel Green Power, the group's renewable power generation subsidiary; November 2010, oversaw the company’s IPO and its listing on the Milan and Madrid Stock Exchanges with a market capitalization of €8 billion; since May 2014, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager. Former Co-Chair, World Economic Forum Energy Utilities and Energy Technologies Community. Member: Advisory Board, United Nations Sustainable Energy for All initiative; Board of Directors, United Nations Global Compact; Multi-stakeholder Platform on the Implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the EU; Co-Chair, B20 Climate & Resource Efficiency Task Force; Former President, European Electricity Industry Union Eurelectric; Club of Rome; Member, Global Commission to End Energy Poverty (launched by the Rockefeller Foundation). Recipient of honours and awards, including: Orden Mexicana del Águila Azteca of Mexico (2018); Cavaliere del Lavoro of Italy (2018); Comendador in the Ordem de Rio Branco of Brazil (2018); Orden Nacional al Mérito en el Grado de Comendador of Colombia (2018); Orden of Friendship of Russia (2019).
