Practiced medicine in the UK. 1991-2011, with Goldman Sachs; joined in European Corporate Finance, London; then ran the Investment Banking Division in Asia ex-Japan, and latterly as Vice-Chairman, Asia ex-Japan; Member of Asia Management Committee and firm-wide Capital Committee. 2012, joined CPPIB as first President, Asia; 2013, Head, International, responsible for the organization’s international investment activities, managing global advisory relationships and leading the organization internationally; since June 2016, President and Chief Executive Officer, responsible for leading CPP Investment Board and its investment activities.
