Vivek Ramachandran is the Global Head of Product and Propositions for HSBC's Trade and Receivables Finance business. He is responsible for leading the development of the banks’ client offering (digital and otherwise), and leads our efforts in the adoption of Distributed Ledger and other emerging technologies. Prior to joining HSBC, Vivek was co-founder and CEO of VTA, a boutique advisory firms working with banks across Europe and Asia. Vivek was previously a Managing Director at Barclays, where he led the build out of Transaction Banking globally. He also held various senior management positions including Head of Group Strategy and Chief Operating Officer for the Corporate Markets business at Lloyds Banking Group. Vivek has a Ph.D in Economics from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh USA where he received the University’s highest recognition awards for his teaching and research accomplishments.
